Starting from the city centre, you go up along Via XX Settembre to the Via Antica Romana which runs along its entire stretch to Via Aurelia. Moving along the street, you turn onto Via Scauro, a paved Roman route, which leads us to the Romanesque “Chiesa di San Pantaleo” next to what once was a portico dedicated to the faithful. As of today, this portico has become an integral part of the church on the side of the eighteenth-century bell tower.
Along the flat road you reach Sant’Ambrogio where you can enjoy one of the most fascinating views of the entire area. Behind the church starts a steep uphill road right next to the cemetery: shortly after, you reach the church dedicated to St. Isidore. Walking through cultivated bands and groves of hornbeams and chestnut trees you get to St. Bernard where you can find a small chapel dedicated to the saint. On your way back you can take a detour that leads to Vallette Forno which reaches an altitude of more than 300 m and to the centre of Zoagli. Stretching a lot, you can reach Sexi and then come back to the city centre.
